Mango Festival being organized by APEDA in Bahrain
From 13 June to 20 June, 2022, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is organizing an eight-day 'Mango Festival' in Bahrain to promote mango exports.
34 varieties of mangoes from the eastern states West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha are on display at eight different locations of Al Jazeera Group supermarkets in Bahrain.
All varieties of mangoes have been procured directly from farmers and two farmer producer organizations. The mango show in Bahrain is part of APEDA's new initiative to explore international markets for Indian mangoes under the 'Mango Festival 2022'.
It is a result of APEDA'scommitment to provide a globalplatf orm for Indian mangoes thatbfor the first time 34 varieties of mangoes from eastern states have been displayed in Bahrain.
Apart from this, several preparations of mangoes such as mango cakes, juices, various types of mango shakes, prepared at Al Jazeera Bakery, etc. have also been showcased at the festival.
