 Karnataka Government Launched Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana

Karnataka Government Launched Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana     Recently Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has launched Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana to commemorate the first anniversary of his government. It aims to empower 10 lakh people to self-employed them by including financial assistance and skill training to rural youth among other schemes and also helps in marketing of similar Stree Shakti Self Help Groups (SHGs).   These initiatives will help all sections of people including SC/ST, Women, Working Classes, Farmers and others to strengthen them and take the State towards development.  Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana   Under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana, SHG of youth is formed in each of the 28,000 villages with a seed amount of Rs 1.5 lakh for each group. It aims to empower about 5 lakh youth to be self-employed besides connecting their SHGs with banks and markets.   Around 33,000 SHGs from Karnataka have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with banks to provide markets, which will benefit 5 lakh women of Karnataka. The government is planning to provide similar facilities to young men under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Yojana.
