Telangana Government Launches Nethanna Bima Yojana
Recently Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has launched a life insurance scheme 'Nethanna Bima' scheme for handloom and power loom weavers.
This is the first such scheme of its kind in the country. This will benefit 80 lakh weaving families. This scheme will provide insurance coverage to weavers' families. Under this scheme, in case of any kind of accidental death or accident, the weaver's family will get an insurance of Rs 5 lakh.
Weaver families will get financial security from this scheme. The Government of Telangana has partnered with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for this scheme. The annual premium of this scheme will be paid by the government itself.
