'World Biofuel Day' observed on 10th August
World Biofuel Day is celebrated every year on 10 August. The theme for World Biofuel Day 2022 is ‘To promote the use of biofuel over conventional energy resources’. It is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of non-fossil fuels as an alternative to conventional fossil fuels.
This day is celebrated in honor of 'Sir Rudolf Diesel'. He was the inventor of the diesel engine and the first to predict the possibility of using vegetable oil as an alternative to fossil fuels.
