SEBI Constituted A 15-member Committee Under The Chairmanship Of K.V. Subramanian To Attract Foreign Investment

In August 2022, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has constituted an expert group to promote foreign investment. Former economic advisor K.V. Subramanian will chair this advisory committee. It will have 14 other members representing foreign banks, stock exchange investors and the Reserve Bank of India.

The Advisory Committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of advising on issues relating to foreign investors in investment and financial markets. The committee will review the investment opportunities available and suggest ways to increase the participation of foreign investors in the bond market.
