Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates Industrial Decarbonization Summit 2022 in New Delhi
On 16 June, 2022, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated the 'Industrial Decarbonization Summit 2022' in New Delhi.
During the inauguration, the Union Minister emphasized on maintaining a balance between environment, ecology and development. The 'Industrial Decarbonization Summit 2022' was inaugurated to address the energy shortage as it is necessary to develop alternative fuels. According to him, the priority of the government is green hydrogen.
Industrial Decarbonization Summit
The Industrial Decarbonization Summit was inaugurated and organized on 16 June at Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi. It focused on various research topics related to decarbonisation, policy issues, sustainability including their management and climate change,etc.
During this summit, academicians, researchers, policy makers, business, industry, concerned government departments etc. will learn from each other at large scale.
Decarbonization
In literal terms, decarbonization means reduction of carbon.Precisely it means the conversion to an economic system that compensates and permanently reduces carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. The long-term goal of decarbonization is to create a CO₂ free global economy.
