Astrome signs contract with DoT to launch 'GigaMesh Network Solution' project
Recently Astrome has signed a contract with DoT to launch a pilot project named 'GigaMesh Network Solution' with 15 villages in India. Developed by Astrome, GigaMesh will address the challenges of overcrowding in rural 4G infrastructure and provide high- tech and affordable internet connectivity.

GigaMesh

The solution has been developed by Astrome. The startup has been supported by the l Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Technology Park (ARTPARK), Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). It is a network solution that will wirelessly provide fiber-likebackhaul capability and pave theway for 5G.

It is the world's first multi-beam E- band radio capable of simultaneous communication from a single tower to multiple towers while delivering multi Gbps throughput to each of these towers.

A single GigaMesh device can provide 40 links with 2+ Gbps.capacity, which can communicate up to a range of ten kilometers.

GigaMesh facilitates multiple point-to-point communications in the E-band, reducing costs and is powered by software  it easy to deploy, maintain and repair remotely.

Artificial Intelligence Robotics Technology Park (ARTPARK)

ARTPARK is a non-profit foundation set up by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru to promote technology innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
