Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam in Varanasi
On 07 July, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The Ministry of Education has organized this conference in. collaboration with the University Grants Commission and Banaras Hindu University.
In the three-day event, more than 300 Vice Chancellors, directors, academicians, policy makers and industry representatives from government and private universities will deliberate on how it will be implemented after the success of some of the National Education Policy-2020 initiatives in the last two years. How can it be extended further?
The conference will provide a platform to deliberate on the strategies, success stories and best ways to implement the National Education Policy-2020 for the higher educational institutions of the country.
The highlight of the conference is the adoption of the Varanasi Declaration on Higher Education, which reflects India's expanded vision and renewed commitment to achieving the goals of the higher education system.
