Union Minister Jitendra Singh announces Rajendra Prasad Memorial Award in Public Administration
Recently, Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced the establishment of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Award in Public Administration for academic excellence in the memory of the first President of the country. He gave this information at the 320th meeting of the Executive Council of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA).
He also said that the institute will.have to prepare a plan for the next.25 years to achieve the goals set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He suggested that IIPA should work closely with similar departments, organizations and institutions.
It should be noted that the Indian Constitution was framed under the chairmanship of Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Dr. Rajendra Prasad has.also been the first President of the. Republic of India.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Rajendra Prasad was born on 3 December, 1884 in Siwan district of present-day Bihar and died on 28 February, 1963. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was awarded the Bharat Ratna in the year 1962.
