Himachal Pradesh becomes first
state to start vehicle tracking
Recently, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has inaugurated Vehicle Location Tracking Device, an Emergency Panic Button System and Command Control Centre. With this, Himachal Prades has become the first state in the country to do so.
The website of Road Safety Cell was also inaugurated to provide assistance in case of any emergency. Detection of theft of vehicles and vehicle accidents will
become easier after the establishment of this command control center.
The Vehicle Location Tracking Device with Emergency Panic Button System and Command Control Center is integrated with the Emergency Response Support
System 112. It will provide quick and accurate information about a vehicle equipped with this device in case of an emergency. It will also make state roads safer and more accessible.
