NITI Aayog Unveils e-Amrit Mobile App to Raise Electric Vehicle Awareness
Recently NITI Aayog has started important initiatives to promote electric mobility in India. The central agency has launched 'e- Amrit' mobile app to raise awareness about e-mobility among Indian citizens. e-Amrit till now used to be a portal aimed at providing information on all aspects of electric vehicles.
NITI Aayog has also released a report which states that India's energy storage is likely to reach an all-time high due to the increasing demand for electric vehicles.
e-Amrit App provides users with important information related to Electric Vehicles which allows them to assess the benefits of Electric Vehicles, determine the savings and all the information about the developments in the Indian Electric Vehicle Market and Industry in one single app. .
According to a report shared by NITI Aayog, India will have 600 GWh of battery storage capacity by the end of this decade. Based on an analysis in the report, it has been said that the total cumulative capacity of battery storage in India will be 600 GW by 2030. Segments like electric vehicles and consumer electronics will be the major users of this power in India.
