Uttarakhand became the first state in the country to implement the new National Education Policy
The New National Education Policy 2020 has been implemented in Uttarakhand from 12 July, 2022.
With this, Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement NEP. In Uttarakhand, the new National Education Policy- 2020 (NEP) has been started first of all in primary education under school education.
The school education department has already completed its preparation. In the Directorate General of Education, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has
formally launched the new education policy in the state by inaugurating Bal Vatikas.
With this, Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement NEP. Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat informed that more than twenty thousand Anganwadi centers are being operated in the state, out of which, in the first phase under NEP, Balvatikas classes will be operated in five thousand Anganwadi
centers operated in government primary schools under the Department of Education.
