Joint military exercise 'Ex VINBAX 2022' started between India and Vietnam

 The third edition of the Vietnam- India bilateral military exercise "Ex VINBAX 2022" is being held at Chandimandir (Haryana) from 01 August to 20 August 2022. This military exercise is a sequel to the first bilateral military exercise held in Vietnam in 2019 and is a major event towards strengthening bilateral ties between India and Vietnam.

 India and Vietnam share a comprehensive strategic partnership and defense cooperation is a key pillar of this partnership. Vietnam is an important partner in India's Act East policy and Indo-Pacific vision.

 The theme of Ex VINBAX – 2022 is employment and deployment of an Engineer Company and a Medical Team as part of United Nations Contingent for Peace Keeping Operations.

 India has a rich legacy of deploying troops in UN missions and has some of the best capabilities to provide best practices to UN

peacekeepers at planned, operational and strategic levels incorporating best practices and practical experience. The Indian Army is represented by soldiers of 105 Engineer Regiment.
