Uttarakhand government to develop one Sanskrit speaking village in every district
Recently, Uttarakhand government has announced to develop one 'Sanskrit-Gram' in all the 13 districts of the state. There will be a village in every district where people will converse in Sanskrit language only.
Uttarakhand Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the residents of these villages should use the ancient Indian language in daily conversation. The training will be given by experts. Let us tell you that Sanskrit is the second official language of Uttarakhand state.
Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to take such an initiative to promote Sanskrit on such a large scale. There is a village in Karnataka where only Sanskrit is spoken. Sanskrit teachers will be sent to the selected villages who will teach the local people to speak in this language. The Vedas and Puranas will also be taught to the people so that they can learn to speak Sanskrit fluently.
