National Mission on Intellectual Property Awareness Achieves Target of Training 10 Lakh Students on
Intellectual Property Awareness
The National Intellectual Property.Awareness Mission (NIPAM),.launched in the year 2021, hasmachieved the target of imparting Intellectual Property (IP).awareness and basic training to 10.lakh students. This target has been.achieved before the deadline of August 15, 2022.
During the period from 08 December 2021 to 31 July 2022, the following targets were achieved
1. Number of Participants.(Students/Faculty) trained on.Intellectual Property: 10,05,272
2. Educational Institutions Covered: 3,662
3. Geographical Coverage: 28 States and 7 Union Territories
National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM)
The objective of this mission is to provide awareness about Intellectual Property and its rights to 10 lakh students. Its objective is to develop the spirit of creativity.and innovation in the students of.higher education (classes 8 to 12).and to motivate the students of.colleges/universities to protect their innovation.
The program is being implemented by Intellectual Property Office, Office of the Controller General of.Patents, Designs and Trade Marks.(CGPDTM), Ministry of Commerce.and Industry.
