Schedule of FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup to be held in India is released
Recently FIFA has announced the schedule of Under-17 Women's World Cup-2022. It will be organized in India. The official draw is scheduled to take place on 24 June, 2022. Its semi-final will be held at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa, while the final match will be held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on 30 October, 2022. It is an international football tournament organized by FIFA for female players under the age of 17.
It is held in even-numbered years and was first played in the year 2008. Its current champion is Spain, who won its first title in the 2018 tournament held in Uruguay. In the year 2020, the World Cup was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was to be held at five venues in India but in November 2020, FIFA canceled the 2020 edition of the tournament.
