Indian-origin British leader Rishi Sunak resigned from the post of Finance Minister on 05 July 2022. British Prime Minister Boris.Johnson has appointed Nadim Jahavi as the Finance Minister innplace of Rishi Sunak. Rishi Sunak has written a letter questioning the functioning of the Boris Johnson government. Rishi Sunak tweeted that the public rightly expects from the government to run properly, efficiently and seriously.
Finance Minister Sunak and Health Minister Javid resigned
Earlier, Finance Minister Rishi Sunak and Health Minister Sajid Javid had resigned from their posts on 05 July 2022. They resigned citing the leadership of Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Boris Johnson tried to apologize for the latest case involving a sexual misconduct complaint against one of his ministers. This move of these two has increased the difficulties of Prime Minister Johnson who is already surrounded by crisis.
Know who is Rishi Sunak?
Rishi Sunak was born on 12 May 1980 in Southampton, Hampshire. He was born to Indian parents Yashveer and Usha Sunak. His father was a general practitioner while his mother was a pharmacist. His grandparents were born in Punjab Province, (British India) and in the decade 1960, they had immigrated to Britain from East Africa.
Let us tell you that Sunak is the eldest among three siblings. His brother Sanjay is a psychologist and his sister Rakhi works as the Head of Humanitarian, Peace building, United Nations Funds and Programs at the Office of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development. His wife Akshata Murthy is the daughter of Narayan Murthy, co-founder of Indian Software Company Infosys.
