Alina Ribakina became the first player from Kazakhstan and Asia to win the Wimbledon title
 In July 2022, Alina Ribakina of Kazakhstan has won the women's singles title at Wimbledon 2022. She defeated Ons Jabeur 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the finals. This is Ribakina's first Grand Slam title.

With this, Ribakina has become the first player from Kazakhstan and Asia to win the Wimbledon title. Meanwhile, Tunisia's 27-year-old Jabeur became the first woman from Arab and African countries to make it to the finals.

Men's Singles

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has won the men's singles title at Wimbledon. Top seed Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios of Australia by 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 in the final of the third Grand Slam of the year.

This is Novak Djokovic's 7th Wimbledon and 21st Grand Slam title. He has overtaken Roger.Federer of Switzerland to win the most Grand Slam titles. Federer has won 20 Grand Slam titles so far.
 
Spain's Rafael Nadal held the record for winning the most 22 titles. Earlier this year, all three players had 20-20 titles to their name. Nadal won the Australian and French Open. At Wimbledon, he was ruled out of the semi-finals with an abdominal injury.
