R. K. Gupta appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner
Recently senior bureaucrat R.K. Gupta was appointed as the Deputy Election Commissioner. The Personnel Ministry issued an order to this effect. He will replace T Srikkanth.
According to the order of the Personnel Ministry, Gupta, an officer of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS), will be the Deputy Election Commissioner (Joint Secretary level) till February 28 next year.
