India will overtake China to become the world's most countr populous country in 2023
The United Nations has released the 27th edition of official population projections titled World Population Prospects 2022 on the occasion of World Population Day.
According to this publication, India.is projected to overtake China as the world's most populous country in the year 2023. The global population is projected to reach eight billion by 15 November, 2022.
New projections from the United Nations suggest that the world's population could grow to around 8.5 billion in 2030 and 9.7 billion in 2050. It is projected to peak during 2080 with a population of about 10.4 billion people and remain at the same level until the year 2100.
