Indian Army organizes 'Suraksha Manthan 2022' on Border and Coastal Security

 Recently, the Desert Corps of the Indian Army has organized "Suraksha Manthan-2022" on the aspects of border and coastal security in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The brainstorming was jointly chaired by Director General of Border Security Force Pankaj Kumar Singh (IPS), Director General of Indian Coast Guard VS Pathania and Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor, General Officer Commanding, Desert Corps and in this brainstorming the serving officers of the Army, BSF and Coast Guard took part.

 During the discussion, aspects related to interoperability, operational coherence and logistics were discussed to enhance overall security in the International Border (IB) and coastal areas. A joint training calendar was also prepared to achieve a higher level of interactivity and connectedness among the security forces.

 The current security threats and challenges and shared response to them were discussed and such situations will now be part of upcoming exercises. It was also decided to create an efficient security environment and develop a concrete capacity development road map to achieve this.
