Vice Chairman of Sanmar Group Receives 'Order of the Rising Sun Award'
Recently, the Government of Japan honored Narayanan Kumar, Vice Chairman of 'The Sanmar Group' with 'Order of the Rising Sun Award' and 'Gold and Silver Star Award' for his contribution in strengthening economic ties between Japan and India.
Narayanan Kumar was conferred with the award by the Consulate General of Japan in Chennai, Taga Masayuki. Narayanan Kumar also headed the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2015.
He served as President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in 1997–1998 and was among the recipients of the Spring 2022 Imperial Decorations.
