Haryana CM launches 'Smart e-Beat' system of police in Gurugram
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal launched the Smart E-Beat System on 25 July, 2022 at the Office of the Commissioner of Police. He flagged off 119 motorcycle riders of the police connected with this
system. These riders will be monitoring every corner of the city.
The Chief Minister said that with this launch, the beat system of the police has been completely digitized. Police's e-beat rider will soon be linked to dial number 112. After this, the Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) as well as the rider will reach the spot if any incident is reported on 112. They will provide first aid when they reach there.
The new e-beat system will cover all 33 police station areas located in urban areas. In these, 119 motorcycle riders will be deployed.
There will be two policemen on each motorcycle rider.
In this sense, 714 policemen will give duty on the rider in three shifts a day. The Chief Minister said that the police have identified 2056 vulnerable places in the city, including ATMs, petrol pumps, senior citizens' homes, colleges, crime-affected areas, etc.
