PV Sindhu will be the flag bearer of the Indian contingent at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022
Two-time Olympic medalist P.V. Sindhu will be the flag bearer of the Indian contingent at the Commonwealth Games, starting July 28 in Birmingham. A total of
164 athletes will take part in the opening ceremony. According to the Indian Olympic Association, 'Sindhu has been made the flag bearer of the Indian team for the opening ceremony'.
Former world champion Sindhu is one of the top contenders to win the women's singles gold medal in
Birmingham. She had won silver and bronze medals in the last two editions at Gold Coast and Glasgow respectively. Sindhu was also the flag bearer at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.
