IIT Kanpur launches program named 'NIRMAN'
The Startup Incubation and Innovation Center at IIT Kanpur has launched the "NIRMAN".accelerator program supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The program will focus on manufacturing startups engaged in healthcare and agriculture domains to help them meet the challenges from their prototype-to- market journey.
In this, 15 startups working in health security and agriculture sector will be promoted. Startup companies across the country can apply till August 5.
A total of 15 startups will be selected under construction. After this, they will be assisted from developing the product in the laboratory to delivering it to the market. Not only this, a prize of up to Rs 10 lakh will also be given to the best performing startup in a
group of 15 startups.
There is a need for startups working in the healthcare and agriculture sector in the country. This program will help innovation and startups.
In collaboration with the Department of Science and
Technology, the six-month.program will gain momentum. The program will focus on product
development theory, engineering,leadership for the.next generation and advancing production.
During this there will be workshops, consultancy support, in-depth study and engagement of business and investors. Startup companies across the country can apply till August 5.
