Second Jammu Film Festival to be organized in September
The second edition of the Jammu Film Festival will be organized from.03 September, 2022. 54 films from
15 countries will be screened in the.two-day event.
The first International Film Festival was held in September 2019 in Jammu, the winter capital of the
Union Territory. Due to Covid-19,.this festival could not be organized for two years. The Jammu Film.Festival is being organized by Vomedh, a leading cultural
organization of Jammu and.Kashmir.
Out of 140 films sent from 21 countries, 54 films from 15 countries were selected. These include six feature films, 39 short films and nine documentaries.
The selection committee includes lead actor Lalit Parimu, Director of Geetiyan Rahul Sharma, Iranian
filmmaker Alimohammed Egbaldar, producer Kapil Mattoo and critic Amit Singh. Committee will be
headed by Sangeet Natak Award winner and actor-director Mushtaq Kak.
