Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh today
On 16 July, 2022, Prime Minister.Narendra Modi will inaugurate Bundelkhand Expressway at Kaithari village in Jalaun district in Uttar Pradesh. The construction of
this four-lane 296 km long expressway has cost around Rs 14,850 crore. Later it can be expanded to 6 lanes. This expressway passes through National Highway 35 from Gonda village near Bharatkup in Chitrakoot district to Kudrail village in Etawah district where it
meets with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
This route passes through 7 districts- Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah. Along with increasing connectivity, Bundelkhand
Expressway will also boost economic development. This will create employment opportunities for the local people. The work of construction of industrial corridor
in Banda and Jalaun districts near the expressway has started.
The government is committed to enhance connectivity between different parts of the country. For this purpose, the road connectivity is being improved.Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for the construction of Bundelkhand Expressway on 29 February 2020. Its construction was completed in 28
months.
