Indian mixed badminton team won silver medal, lost to Malaysia in the final

 On 02 August, 2022, the Indian mixed badminton team has won the silver medal in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022. India lost by 1-3 to Malaysia in the final of the mixed badminton team. For India, only PV Sindhu managed to win her match while India lost to Malaysia in men's doubles, men's singles and women's doubles.

 The first match in the mixed badminton team for the medal event at the Commonwealth Games in 2022 was men's doubles. For India, the pair of Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lost by 18-21, 15-21 to the bronze medalist pair of the Olympics Teng Fong Aaron Chia and Wooi Yik Soh. After this, in women's singles, two- time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu was up against 60th ranked Jin Wei Goh.

 Lovepreet Singh won the bronze medal in weightlifting lifted the record-breaking 355 kg weight.

 In the Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian weightlifter Lovepreet Singh won Bronze medal in the 109 kg category on 03 August. Lovepreet Singh lifted a total weight of 355 (163+192) kg in this game, which is a national record. Lovepreet Singh has broken his own record.
