Eknath Shinde sworn in as Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Fadnavis appointed as Deputy CM
On 30 June, 2022, Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde took oath as the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde was administered the oath by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at the Raj Bhavan.
Along with this, former CM of Maharashtra and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has taken oath as Deputy Chief Minister. Let us tell you that on 29 June, Uddhav

Eknath Shinde
Eknath Shinde was born on 9 February 1964. Satara is his home district. Shinde came to Thane for studies and studied till 11th here, after this, started driving auto rickshaws by staying in the Wagle Estate Area. During this, he met Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe. His
political career started at the age of just 18 years and Shinde started working as a common Shiv Sena worker.
After working as a Shiv Sena worker for nearly a decade and a half, Shinde entered electoral politics in 1997. In the 1997 Thane Municipal Corporation elections, Anand Dighe gave Shinde a councilor's ticket.Shinde was successful in winning in his very first election. In 2001, became the Leader of the Opposition in the Municipal Corporation. After this, again in the
year 2002, he became a corporation councilor for the second time.
Shinde contested elections from Thane assembly seat in the year 2004 and got success here as well.After this, Eknath Shinde has been continuously becoming MLA from Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly seat
since 2009. Shinde has been elected MLA 4 times from Kopri-Pachpakhadi seat of Thane.
