The Chief Minister of Assam, Dr..Himanta Bishwa Sharma is the Chief Patron of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee of the Agradoot. The Agradoot started as an Assamese fortnightly. It was founded by Kanak Sen Deka, ansenior journalist from Assam. Itstarted publication as a regularndaily newspaper in the year 1995and soon it became a trusted and influential voice of Assam
