Former Australian tennis  player Lleyton Hewitt inducted  into Tennis Hall of Fame

Former Australian tennis player Lleyton Hewitt has been inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Hewitt was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021 but was unable to attend the event due to travel restrictions due to COVID-19.

In the year 2022, no one was inducted into the Hall of Fame, so he was given this honor alone in the program. He is the 34th player from Australia to make it to the

Hall of Fame.

The ceremony was held after the semi-finals of the Hall of Fame Open in Newport. Eight Hall of Fame inductees like Andy Roddick and Tracy Austin were present at the ceremony.

Hewitt, a two-time Grand Slam (Wimbledon 2002 and US Open 2001) champion, ended 2001 and 2002 as the world number one. He remained at the top of the rankings for 80 weeks. Hewitt won 30 singles titles during his career.
