PV Sindhu won the Singapore Open title for the first time

She has become the second Indian woman to win the Singapore Open. Overall, Sindhu is the third Indian to have won the title.
Prior to her, Saina Nehwal won this title in 2010 and 2017. Sindhu has won this tournament for the first
time. In the final match that lasted three sets, she defeated Wang Ji Yi of China by 21-9, 11-21, 21-15. This is Sindhu's third title this year. Earlier, she has won the Korea Open and Swiss Open titles.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting won the men's singles title at the Singapore Open 2022. Indonesia's Olympic bronze medalist Ginting defeated unseeded Japanese player Naroka Kodai in a close contest.
