Union Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated the 17th National Institute of Fashion Technology in Panchkula, Haryana
On 12 July, 2022, Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal has inaugurated the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), giving a big gift to Haryana.
With the establishment of National Institute of Fashion Technology in Panchkula, another new chapter has been added in the history of not only Panchkula but Haryana. This will be the 17th campus of the country and it will be developed asa world class NIFT campus.
The foundation stone of this institute was laid by the then Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani on 29th December, 2016. This institute has been established in
collaboration with the Union Ministry of Textiles and NIFT, Delhi. The project, set up on 10.45 acres of land, has been completed at a cost of Rs 133.16 crore.
