Winners of 68th National Film Awards Announced
The winners of the 68th National Film Awards have been announced in New Delhi on 22 July, 2022. This year 305 films have received nominations in the feature film category. These awards have been given for the year 2020. This year the feature film jury is headed by filmmaker Vipul Shah.
The National Film Awards will be presented at a ceremony later this year. Tamil film Soorarai Pottru has
won the Best Feature Film Award. Soorarai Pottru’s actors Suriya and Ajay Devgan for the film Tanhaji:
The Unsung Warrior have jointly received the Best Actor Award.

National Film Award
The National Film Awards were instituted in the year 1954. At that time the President of the country
was Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Information and Broadcasting Minister was B.V. Keskar. These National Awards were then called State Film Awards.
