Prime Minister Narendra Modi chairs the meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog
On 07 August, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chaired the 7th meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. The Prime Minister called upon all the states to make collective efforts in the spirit of cooperative federalism, to help India emerge from the COVID pandemic.
Addressing the 7th meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, the Prime Minister said that each state has contributed to India's COVID fight to the best of its
ability. He said that for this reason India has emerged as a role model for developing countries and they see it as a global leader.
This is the first meeting of the Governing Council since the outbreak of the pandemic. Earlier in 2021, this meeting was done through video conferencing. Chief
ministers of 23 states, three Lieutenant Governors, two administrators and Union ministers attended the meeting. Rajnath Singh conducted the meeting.
Let us tell you that The first meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog was held on 8 February 2015 in which Hon'ble Prime Minister urged all the Chief Ministers to work together with the Center to create a model of cooperative federalism so that the Center and the States can come together to become a Team India and resolve the differences and To lay down a common path of progress and prosperity.
