Railway Protection Force Conducted 'Operation Yatri Suraksha' To Enhance The Safety Of Passengers
Railway Protection Force (RPF) has launched a pan-India operation under the code name 'Operation
Yatri Suraksha' with an aim to improve the safety of passengers traveling through Indian Railways.
As a part of this initiative train escorting, attendance at stations, surveillance through CCTV, surveillance on active criminals, intelligence gathering about
criminals to provide complete security to passengers. To give impetus to Operation Yatri Suraksha, a month-long pan-India campaign against criminals targeting passengers was launched by RPF in July 2022. During the operation 365 suspects werenapprehended by RPF personnel and handed over to the concerned GRP for legal action.
RPF will continue to enhance its efforts, response, effectiveness and reach and to realize its objective of ‘Sewa Hi Sankalp’ with the launch of this campaign in its area of action by improving response, promoting technology andinnovation in Indian Railways to enhance safety of passengers in future also.
