Goa Government Announces  Implementation Of National Education  Policy 2020 In Higher Education


On 07 August, 2022 Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) to implement 100% of the curriculum in higher education institutions. The implementation of NEP has started from college to university level. From the next academic year, 100% of the curriculum in higher education institutions will be online with NEP.

Sawant also talked about the skill of manpower. He confirmed that Goa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with around 35 industry associations in the state which will work on skill development. The Chief Minister also mentioned the requirement of two lakh manpower in the hospitality industry in the next five years. The manpower will be trained by the government.

Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement NEP in primary education


The new National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) was implemented in Uttarakhand from July 12, 2022. With this, Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement NEP in primary education. First of all in Uttarakhand, the new National Education Policy-2020 (NEP) has been started in primary education under school education.
